Yes, it could You would set the pitch curve to a constant number and run probably a linear throttle 0-25-50-75-100

I have read about this idea before but nobdy has posted back how it went, that I know about

give it a shot.

quite frankly there is not that much difference in flying characteristics between a fixed pitch and ccpm heli. the biggest advantage to a fixed pitch is that they have fewer parts and therefore are more robust in a crash.

If you can do this on your TX then you will convert the collective heli to a fixed pitch heli.

Set the Pitch to be a maximum (or less if needed) positive all the time and use throttle to change head speed only. That is what makes a fixed pitch heli.

It is sort of the opposite of idle-up.

I was quite intimidated by the touchiness of my B400 when I first started flying it. Looking around online I found suggestions to make it a bit more forgiving. A flatter pitch curve makes the throttle less touchy. higher headspeed makes it more stable, and dual rate and exponential on the aileron and elevator makes them more forgiving. Having negative pitch in the lower half of the throttle makes it easier to spin up w/o the heli trying to lift off.

Here are my settings:
D/R and Exp
Ail: 90%, 5%
Elv: 90%, 5%

Hope this helps some.
