Thank you GreenAce I love it, It flys great, it almost has a 2 to 1 power ratio the plane weight is 35.2 oz and the motor and 12x6 prop will deliver about 57oz, its fun to fly, kind of scared me at first, because it did not want to slow down , I had to fly it at 1/8 throttle I changed the prop pitch to a smaller one to slow it down a bit Take care, Chellie

Since this is my first time entering this type of contest, I have a few questions for the CD or anyone else in the know. When I have finished my entry, and taken some static & in-flight photos, is there a formal declaration of ‘Here She Is’ that needs to be made, or a special section where the pics of the finished entries are posted so everyone can see the finished products without having to wade through the build threads to see them? I’m not quite there yet as my build thread outlines, there have been several set backs, but I’m optimistic and have started with the final construction stages. Happy building/flying.

Rick, the build thread will be the place to post those photos and information. Remember, one part of the contest voting is the build thread itself. Before voting begins, I will remove all posts that are not specific to the build thread, including your posts that are just thank you posts.

You need to post your photos and data with that in mind. Remember you can always edit your posts to set the build thread up to your liking, ignoring those posts that will be gone.

Hi Everyone I maidened the FunJet today, and it flies great, I had some Motor thrust and CG issues at first, but we got that worked out here is a video of the scratch built funjet in action, it was a little windy too, about 10 to 15 mph winds, but the Funjet did not care Thanks to Jessie and Charlie for helping me to video this Flight, Enjoy, Take care, Chellie

I wanted to get a longer video but then guys showed up with the coaxial helis and some 3D foamies so I left. They were banging off the ceiling and it was ridiculous. Looks like the best time to fly at this gym is right at the beginning when people are showing up, then leave. So I will get longer video next time. I also need to make the upper rudder functional as well to get some more rudder control. Rudder control has about a 3-4 second delay. The good news was the CG and reflex was spot on.

Thanks for pointing that out guys. I have no idea what happened, but it is cleared up now. I rarely look at the first post, but now I guess I will have to keep an eye on it.

I think you may be right, Chellie. I am tracking him down and I think he looks like a penguin. I think a penguin made some changes to the site and it changed my post.

By the way, tomorrow begins the last full month of the build contest so, builders get to work. With Christmas coming on, there won't be a lot of work done.

If anyone is finished with their build thread, let me know so I can begin the contest clean-up work early and don't have to spend New Years Eve getting ready so the voting can begin.
