Trojan is a good, easy to fly plane but with a cheap radio. It looks like the new Corsair will get a Spectrum 2.4Ghz radio system: much better . The look of the Corsair is also quite cool .
I don't know anything about the new Spectrum DX5e other than it is proven DXM2 technology same as DX6i and DX7 minus the programming features. Looks like a decent radio to start with where you can get extra receivers and fly multiple planes with a single radio.
The cheap radio system is a problem with RTF planes. Every time you buy a RTF plane, you get a different cheap radio and end-up paying for something cheap you don't realy care for and having to carry all your radios with you to the field. Getting the DX5e with additional receivers in the future (sell the radio on e-bay if you get more than one RTF with the DSM2 technology) looks like a better choice.

So, in my opinion, it is well worth the wait and get the Corsair instead. This is exactly what I told one of my good friends to do when he told me he wanted to get a plane also (he flies my Super Cub and my Trojan from time to time to help with the wait).
