I'm from Brick, NJ and I am a member of Ocean County Modelers. We fly at a closed landfill in Jackson NJ called Wiskow field in honor of the man who helped us get the field, Charlie Wiskow, now deceased. The field is grass but we put in a 100 X 100 black cloth runway for electrics. Come visit when you are in the area. AMA membership required to fly as a guest.

Oxford, Mich. is about 30 miles north of Detroit.
Lucky for me, my next door neighbor has a 10 acre field and he's a great guy. As a matter of fact, he has mowed me a landing strip. He said his family enjoys watching me out the window (it reminds them of a boy with a kite.) I'm surprised they don't get sick of me since I'm out there a couple of times a day.
Also, there is plenty of farm country around here and lots of places to fly. Our winters are hard but I still manage to fly nearly every day. Life is good.

I just moved from Firestone Park down here to SC! I still have friends up in Akron, including one in Barberton. Where do you fly up there? I have a friend in West Akron that flys a ton and is looking for more people to fly with.

I didn't know him. If you come up this way, (I don't know why you would want to come to New Jersey) stop by the field. I also fly indoors at Hangar 1 on Lakehurst Navy Base on Saturday mornings.

From West Middlesex, PA....half way between Pittsburgh and Cleveland.
Right on the Ohio/PA border. 3 AMA sanctioned fields within 20 minutes drive...

Hubbard Wingsnappers
Sharon Skylarks
PORKS....Penn Ohio Radio Kontrol Society

Other AMA sanctioned fields in Greenville Pa, Mercer Pa, Warren OH, Columbiana OH....all these aren't that far away either.
I belong to the Hubbard and Sharon clubs. Great group of people and most members fly both, electric and glow. Thats whats neat about these clubs, haven't really met any stodgy old fogie types that think glow is the ticket to RC Heaven.

Meegosh, the Zeli club I think is off of route 19.
The one in Mercer I don't quite know where its at but there is a club there. One of the members showed up at one of our funfly's.
Used to know a guy who flew his scooter over at North Park (I used to work for FORE Systems/Marconi before they whacked everybody).
Don't know if your allowed to fly there anymore.

I fly most of my RC some CL, and some FF at the LCRC club site in Elyria Township, Lorain County, Oh. Also I compete in FAC FF events at the Lorain County Community College field on their monthly contests. I have had a chance to fly CL at the Cleveland field by Hopkins Airport untill a hotel landed on the site. Work has kept me from getting to the new CL site at the Berea fairgrounds. And I have a small park across the street from me where I trim some of the FF stuff, and occasionally fly one of the smaller electric RCs.

On an FYI, I went onto the AMA website, found out Ohio has something over 120 AMA chartered clubs in all three disciplines.
(As a PS, I also occasionally fly indoor rubber FF in either our engineering garage or in one of our larger meeting areas at work, after hours, of course.)

Default where I live

I'm in Detroit, Michigan the Motor City. I usually fly at a park behind an Army reserve armory off of 8 mile rd when there's no pee football there. There are several parks around town on the eastside where I live that I sometimes go to. And I must say I love electrice r/c.

Anyone in my area is welcome to come check out our field. Fly what you bring, anything. We do glow, electrics, rockets, anything those goes in the direction of up, then back down again.
Me and my buddies keep a nice private field. It's on top of a big hill with an excellent view overlooking some rolling hills.

Some of us are AMA, some not. Anything goes, be warned

I'm in Thousand Oaks, California. I fly mostly at the ball fields near me and anywhere else I can find, I'm up early just about every weekend and out flying. Started with the GWS Slow Stick and now moved up to the PT17. Just getting into brushless and lipoly. Also coming up with new ways to repair foam (Spitfire and Corsair)(love these warbirds). Anyone tried silkspan and minwax, workes pretty good.
