Ten miles north of nowhere, aka Fairbanks Alaska. There is a ten acre lot next to my house that I fly from. It even has a pond for boating and float planes. I wish I had someone to fly with.. My only rc buddy is a MT guy and we just go play beat your truck. He thought he could hover my Trex, lol he flipped it over and drove it sub-tera inverted. The flybar cut the gyro in half. (note to Trex guys: mount your gyro under the boom between the frame halves) So Dave swore off Helis.
Anyway if there is anyone in the Fairbanks/North pole area please give me a call or email (907)458-8840 Anyone vacationing in Alaska..give me a call.
See that is why I feel great about being a member of this site and RCU. You all are my flying buds and this is kind of my club. I know that might sound funny to some, but when it is 40 below zero out I am looking at the forums, using realflight or building. With that being said, I would like to thank you all for putting up with me! Thanks go to Marc (Admin) for making this happen, and to the moderators who have done an exellent job here at wattflyer. Take care folks and have a great day!
Kindest regards,
Jay Rimel

I used to fly with the Yuciapa Valley rc flyers in CA.
Now live in Bicknell Indiana near Vincennes. I have 4 good places to fly here.
and sadly I am the only person using any of them...

Hey Jay,
We are buds and members of the same field. I was just poking fun at Jason as I haven't flown with him in forever and a year it seems. His kitchen pass never seems to coincide with mine or mine with his .

Who are you again? Yeah, we haven't flown together in quite a while. We need to fix that.

Daytona Beach & New Smyrna Beach, Florida. There are some other electric flyers around here, but I don't think they have discovered the forums yet.

I generally fly at Railhead Park in Auburn, CA - a double soceer field park near the Auburn Fairgrounds. I fly small to medium electric and a 2M EP glider there. The younger guys fly 3D stuff. My old age thumb-to-brain wiring no longer can deal with 3D.

I'm retired and fly during the week, usually in the morning 9-11am 2-3 times per week. There is a small group of regulars who fly there. If you're in the area come join us.

Hi Bob CO

I see that you are in Colorado Springs, Was just wondering if you may
have mistakingly Replied to my post.
I actually live in a suburb of St. Paul, MN which is Woodbury, MN.

It's very hard around here to find a good flying site most of the parks and
playgrounds are used for city sports. I have been learning how to fly on
a GWS Slow Stick, many crashes but it is still air worthy.

Am I the only Israeli here?

Anyway, I hail from Netanya, about 25Km North of Tel Aviv. My electric flyers club & field is about a 15 minutes drive from home, another "free" field just over 10 minutes, and yet another about 20 minutes, plus I have decent slopes 15, 25, and 40 minutes drive from home.

Are you jealous yet?:p

Actually Snowdog this site will by default send you an email anytime there is a reply to a thread you posted on.

Have you tried asking the LHS about any groups of peope flying? You can also try the AMA http://www.modelaircraft.org/ for local flying clubs. I think it is always more fun to fly with others.

I'm from Pittsburgh PA... I hear there a few fields near by but have yet to go to any of them because I havent even built my first plane yet. I am probably going to be flying in a private field that a farmer is not using this year. It's right off 228 in Cranberry Twp. I see someone is from New Stanton, looking to meet up and fly sometime once I get my Slow Stick built? I need a fly buddy to give me some pointers once I get started.
