Frank,

If that's Depron, it'll break real easy! I have a friend that has planes made of Depron and he does not survive plane on plane hits. One time it came down in 3 pieces! Try the Dow FFF from Lowe's or Home Depot.

Just my 2 cents.

Have fun! I'm a combat junkie!! I blame James.

That's a good point. Buy an airframe, and use the parts as templates (or better yet, make templates of the parts out of cardboard) and use FFF.

Greg, you are right. I blame James too. My club's bylaws prohibit combat, but there is a club in the area that flies it regularly. I will have to join a second club, it seems......

Well I haven't actually flown in combat but from what I've seen of it at our fly ins it is pretty much blind luck!

A heck of a lot of fun though!

It's a lot of luck. About all you can do to help your odds is to get as comfortable with the plane as possible. I fly mine all the time just for fun.

Go into the middle of the fray and start doing loops.......if someone is gonna hit you, leave the area and try again.

Ouch . FWIW I think the blue FFF from Lowes makes for a better combat plane than Depron. It tends to bend instead of shattering.
