If it really was a copper that shot it down,he's a crack shot. Not many people would be that accurate with a handgun.

I guess DJI needs to add a 'Jinking' flight mode... Sad that places come to this.

Those banners are only about 18' high. The quad had dropped below the top of the banner, so it was only 15-16' off the ground.
It apparently was hit by a almost vertical shot, if the gun was being held over the head of the person that fired it, it would have been at least 6' above ground.
This give us a distance of around 10-12 feet to shoot. anyone qualified to be a police officer, should have been easily able to hit it. Probably a kid with a slingshot could have done it.

Years ago one of my active hobbies was handgun shooting, I have fired my S&W 357 6" over 15,000 times. That would have been an easy shot.

I honestly not see a lot of protesting going on, but there were signs of peace full protest . But not the best way to deal with it.
someone did not like the filming, and shot it down.
This is the reason I never will go to turkey, there human rites, are still rather brutal.
and not to be supported.
Holiday at home. where ever that may be.
I wonder if it went on e bay, for spares or repairs.
Cheers peeps. John W.

I'm sure an experienced marksman can make the shot, but the bigger issue is the office building right behind the aircraft. The bullet probably went straight through the copter and into one of the windows. Not exactly safe...
