Frank,

I use the Todays Posts occasionally, but the one I really like is the "New Posts" in green, centered on the bar below the Todays Posts line. I click that many times a day looking for the newest posts for my WF session.

But my favorite part of WF is the people that make up the forum. Without the people, WF would be kinda boring, dontcha think?

I too use the "New Posts" link. It makes things so much easier.

Besides the people (which is the #1 reason for liking the site), I like that the site is not jumbled with junk. There's not a buch of crap on sidebars or at the top of the site in the main forum area. I like that. I think that the "other forums" are too "busy looking" and I don't particularly care for it. Wattflyer is neat and clean in appearence. I hope that it stays that way, it's more pleasing to the eye.

The main reason I wander over to this site is to check out my favorite forum:

"Kit and scratchbuilding"

I'm building a house this summer, so no modeling for me, but I love following builds.

Of course the folks over here seem extra friendly which is really nice. Though there seems to be an propensity to wander off topic and chit-chat like women at the hairdresser. ("Oh my stars, what a nice hat you have Frank"....)

Also like the great organization and constant efforts to improve and change things.

I think the best thing about wattflyer is that it works on my mobile.

I like the "real time post spy" it works very well while I'm out in the garage working on planes and have the laptop on. Keeps you from having to hit new posts to keep up. As a post is made the page updates. see one you want to respond too and just click on it and go.

very cool!

I use "Today's Posts". All the "New Posts" are placed at the top and are in bold face anyway, so that grouping is a little redundant IMO.

I like that these groups are dedicated to electric only (I have no interest in castor oil airplanes), and although you can select what forums show up on some of the other "RC Groups" as someone already mentioned, here I don't have to put up with a screen full of visual clutter (ads) that seriously slow up the download. It's a godsend when you're accessing the site on a 56K modem!

I also like the fact that when I call up the site on my WebTV I'm automatically redirected to the mobile version (which the "other group" doesn't even offer). This works a lot better for the limited capacity of the simpler browser.

Also I'm able to add a sig here, That I can't make it distinct from the rest of the post anymore (see below) is a bummer though.

The fact that I'm not confronted with 127.000 replies in every thread is nice too.

I'm a fan of the "MyWattFlyer" button. It's a nice quick way to pop in and catch up on posts I'm subscribed to before I head off into other forums.

First thing I usually check when I log into WattFlyer each day is the "My Wattflyer" link. I like how it lets me see both any unread PMs and any threads in which I'm participating that have been updated since the last time I read them.

But by far, my favorite "feature" of the site is all the great folks who contribute to making it such a friendly, helpful, and fun environment. You guys & gals are the greatest!
