You're so smart. That deductive reasoning class you took is starting to pay off.

I never took the class, I just paid the tuition.......

Actually, I am hoping to have my Jug done tomorrow and start working on my combat planes......

Did you ever use the PilotPete for combat, or just fun flying?

LOL Kev solder on your connectors for the motor/esc/battery, bring it on down, and we will have Combat Plane 101 in the "Man Cave" when you get here. We can do it Sunday morning before heading to the Unclub .

It would have to be limited to electric only though since I doubt they would want the noise from slimers.
Thanks for checking into the OCC permit details for us Tom. That's cool that it's free. You guys just name a weekend and I'll mark it on my calendar. I've got plans this weekend but am pretty open after that. I've even started another P-51 and got my 7.4v batteries from China today. So I'm raring to go!

Default A Date in Joplin, MO

Ok,

I'm going to say it if no one else will. It's got to be on the 1st, 8th, 15th or the 22nd. Let's all go for a day or it will be too late by the time we decide.

1, 2, 3 ... go.

Default P51D - Smoke Template

Thought I'd post some photos of the P51D 2D foamie I built using a template provided by Smoke Johnson ( Thanks Smoke ). I never build to the plan so there are a few modifications. Flying weight is 15.5 oz. Its equipped with a Tower pro 2408-21 motor, 18A speed controller, 2S 1050 mah lipo. It looked a little naked in bare depron so i dressed it up a little. I'll maiden it on Saturday or Sunday if the weather permits.

Thanks Again!

I'll have to hit the boss up and see when I can do it.

No problem, thanks for the parkjet templates . Your plane looks great, hopefully we can fly Saturday. I need to maiden my P-47.

The 22nd, isn't that the first meet for Turkey week at the Unclub?

My choices would be the 8th, 15th or 22nd. I might be able to on the 1st but I have to work that morning so not sure if I will be able to make that date or not.

My choice would be the 8th or the 15th. Heck even if we had to do it on the 22nd, maybe Kev and the Tulsa boys could come to Joplin.

Default My Latest Creation

To All,

Below is my latest P-47. I have built an ME-109, but I love the way the P-47 handles and survives mid-airs. It should be ready to combat in a few days.

Enjoy,

Greg

Looks good Greg. Maybe my Me109 will have some red and yellow marks on it after we do some mid-air rubbin.

Default Joplin Combat Mission Date

Lets' try this date thing again.

Can we agree on either the 8th or the 15th???

If you fail to plan, you plan to fail. Just some corporate speak there. Anyway, we need to pick a day and zero in on it some we all can make the necessary plans (see ask/tell the wife).

So what do ya think?

Greg

P.S. James you NEED to come to this one!

Both dates work for me. And yes, James you NEED to be there.

I'm working on another P-51 so should have plenty of cannon fodder for you boys.

I can do it on the 8th I had to promise everything from hanging the Christmas lights early to dressing up as Santa but I would have done all that anyhow so it's on like Donkey Kong .
