Default Ultra Micro, AR6400 compatible, kits and scratchbuilds

Getting ready for the indoor flying season and I am having information overload . There are so many really cool planes out there being designed to use the AR6400/Parkzone/EFlite Ultra Micro equipment. Most of these planes are using the motor and gearbox out of the Mustang, 4-Site, and Sukhoi.

Feel free to post what you find, share what you know, ask questions .

Here is a list of my favorite links that have some really cool UM stuff. If you know of one that should be added just let me know.

Default Stevens Aero LiddleRod

I built one of these last winter and loved it. She took a lot of abuse and was easily repaired until finally it started flying funny. I don't know if it was the weight or if something was misaligned but I finally retired it.

I don't know if this is anything I would try but it is a beautiful model. Sounds like he is using the gear out of an UM Mustang.

It's so nice I would be afraid to fly it. If you read the thread it is really neat how he builds them.

These are a few of my toys using the 6400 system converted to 2 cell and brushless for a little more performance.

I know right! There are just so many really cool/neat UM planes out there right now. Check out this micro Pterodactyl...you can add it to the mile long list of planes I would like to have .

Gord did you build these from plans or just start cutting? The bipe looks awesome and I love the micro Mario Kart, I bet that's a lot of fun.

I like the esthetic curved lines of the 30s planes so I designed it from that. This is a halfsized version of the Catsass in my avatar which I'm in the middle of building a new one as it's about 8 yrs old and had to many midairs and hangar rashes. Once I design one I copy it onto posterboard for patterns. Fraid I don't know how to make drawings in PDF. Bit of a computer klutz

Wow! Is that one pretty plane or what? It could almost make you want to crash your T-28 beyond repair! Ok, not...

Default Re: Ultra Micro, AR6400 compatible, kits and scratchbuilds

Last year I had the chance to buy a couple of crashed Parkzone UM's for cheap thinking "what am I going to do with them?"...I'm kicking myself in the rear for it now.

Last winter was my first season flying indoors with micro models and just like everything else in this hobby it is highly addictive .
