Just looks better with the canopy and a pilot (to me)

With vs without, and placement of, the canopy can affect knife edge and dutch roll.

But your long battery hatch will make putting the canopy as far aft as i would put it a bit difficult.

Thumbs up

Good luck with the maiden flight.

The servo placement doesn't look very "Old School."

I'd go with a canopy, Kaos' need the canopy for the "look" and the forward side-area. If you cut off the last inch of the canopy it would fit on your hatch nicely and would be a great hot air outlet.

Thanks.

It seems that the 25% would make it very nose heavy, which is certainly better that tail heavy. As I recall the plans have the CG at about the 33% position - just checking.

25% is ultra safe - but can actually cause issues too. I generally start at about 28-30%. Most planes tolerate that pretty well and they are not so nose heavy.

Now I have flown planes that need to be at 25%, but you are usually OK a tough further back. Just because a plane is tail heavy does not mean it will crash.

I'll move my forward battery up a little and make it a little nose heavy for the CG position I marked. Likely a safe thing to do for the maiden flight anyway.

Hi yes, 25% is a Tad nose heavy but safe, Most Maiden Flights fail because of a tail Heavy Issue, I set all of my Planes to 25% CG on the maiden flight then adjust from there, so far no problems Good luck on the Maiden flight, Chellie

Thumbs up Maiden Flight

Well first flight happened this morning. Got it trimmed out pretty well. Only managed a single flight today, but I'm planning on trying again tomorrow.
