Default New to scratch builds

I am looking to build a scratch build plane out of epp foam. I have never build a scratch build plane only kits. I already have a tower pro 2409-12 motor and i was wondering if i could build anything around that. I was thinking to build a jet if anyone has any plans for a jet that would work with this motor that would be great if not do you know and plane that i could build that will work with this motor.
Thanks Mike

Hi, Mike. I don't know what your skill level is, but if I had that motor I would put it on a Formosa II. Here are a couple of links:

Here are some pics of my first ever scratch built foamy. The plans are easy for beginners. Just print out the tiles, tape them together, stick them to the Depron and hobby knife away. Electronics and motor will hopefully be installed today (if the LHS has the goods), otherwise, it is HC time.
I put it together in about five hours yesterday.
Have fun and good luck!

Edit- here is the link where you can find the plans.
