Default Stryker outrunner mount

I'm replacing the stock motor (dead) on my Stryker C with the Grayson Hobby SuperMega Jet V2 combo. What mounting methods have ya'll used to mount an outrunner on the Stryker?

I'll be curious too see this as well. We still have our stock motor on ours but I would like to do another with a faster setup.

How about mounting it with the shaft forward and use one of the bell prop adaptors?

I used the stock mount, I just moved it forward about 1/2" and had to use a dremmel or exacto to cut 2 of the holes further in to acomidate my motor...

specs
2217 1050kv turnigy (28x36)
4cell 1000mah pack
20gram metal gear digital servos
graupner 7x7 prop
70mph
14amps 220 watts
AUW 20oz - (could easily be 19.5 if you lighted up on servos...)

I bolted a stick to the back (with a piece of plywood top and bottom to strengthen the mount area), then used a regular GWS stick mount adapter...photos here and here.

Grayson Hobbies sells an aluminum outrunner to stick mount. Buy it. Screw it to a piece of 3/8"x 3/8" bass wood. Then remove the old mount and position and glue the stick into the existing slot( nomaliy under the mount). Use epoxy it works the best. Make sure to check the position of the mount on the Basswood so that the prop is positioned to clear the back of the wing. And thats all it takes. Works great.

Good Luck!!!!!

Thanks for all the info! It looks like the stick mount is the most straightforward fix. I just found an interesting mount at the link below. It's an l-shaped mount meant for wings. thanks again.
