Default Blade 350 QX Quad Copter is AWESOME! (Videos)

I'm getting into these multi-copters pretty heavily lately and mostly, they are a big pain the butt... but not this one! Seriously, all you do is set up your radio (a little tricky) and GO. The auto-landing feature is really cool!

In the video, I show what's included with the copter, and I fly it for you, showing the various flight modes and the auto-landing feature. If you have never flown anything before, this quad would be perfect. The smart mode is so simple even I can do it!

It is "GoPro ready" and strapping a GoPro on it is simple, and the video comes out really nice!

Just got my Balde 350 QX RTF.
No joy in muddville though as I can't seem to get the rotors to fire up.
I keep getting nothing or the rapid beeping.

Try to re-bind in order to re-set GPS...it can take a few minutes depending on location and existing environmental conditions.....all audible and LED codes are explained in the manual.

Owners manual suggests:

Motors will not start in
Smart Mode:
Rate mode switch set to low Set transmitter dual rate switch to hi
GPS signal is not aquired Ensure a GPS signal is aquired
Rudder trim not centered Center the rudder trim

Motors will not start in
Stability/Agility Mode:
Rate mode switch set to low Set transmitter dual rate switch to hi
Rudder trim not centered Center the rudder trim

The audible tones should as such:

Cannot start motors because of low voltage high, med, low (sad tone)
Cannot start motors because vehicle is tilted high, med, low (sad tone

There also other binding procedures and ESC/motor assignment procedures that must be followed to the letter......this was seriously pointed out to me by the Horizon salesman who walked me though his DX8 set-up prior to test driving the 350.

Of course, if all else fails, give Horizon a call........their customer service is great

It worked. I got it airborne this morning. Took it to the park next and crashed it when it began to ignore the stick even when pulled all the way back. It drifted about 150' into a structure and fell 30' to concrete breaking off the number two motor. I patched it back together and replaced the blades. It seems ok now. Can't explain the odd behavior. Seems though my bubble has a 20' radius.

You were trying to force it into the "safe circle" and it refused to go? That's what it's supposed to do, but it shouldn't cause any bad behavior.

There is a recall on the props, you can get the new ones free... this is pretty much the same way they handled the bad grips on the Blade mCPX.
