Default Help - Rebuilding HK SK motor and a magnet broke

So followed suggestions on rebuilding my HK SK Aerodrive outrunner - great tips and advice. Got all the magnets out - cleaned the old epoxy off the magnets and inside the bell. Was cleaning the magnets with alcohol to prepare for Hysol and one magnet snapped toward a group of them and it broke into 3 pieces!

As I am sure you know - and I now know - they will NOT go back together. FML!

So can I buy just a magnet or set of magnets? Or do I need to buy a whole new motor?

Methinks you will be needing a new motor. These high powered magnets are brittle, as you've found out.

Magnets are available though, take a look:
