Hi Bill!
Nope, ailerons working fine during take off and into a gentle left turn.... and then.... disaster! Abrupt un-controlled roll to the right. Good guess though.

well it wasn't a guess it was an educated opinion based on the available evidence. So what did happen?

Last time I posted one of these, several posters had a good time trying to guess/educated opinion the answer. Its only been up a couple days and yes, I see the crash forum hasn't had a lot of traffic lately. Should we start with a hint or let the cat out of the bag already? What do ya think Bill? How bout a good hint?

It was caused by a builder error updating technology.....

without more prior knowledge, and/or looking at the plane in the aftermath there is no point guessing.

So no fun allowed then? Are we gonna have to get off the grass too?
1. It was a builder error
2. New tech was installed
3. The builder did not follow their usual, reliable method to install it
4. Double sided tape was used to install the new tech and CA glue had always been used to adhere to the balsa in case the adhesive failed. This time the builder did not use CA (me) because I felt the balsa fuse side would break if the tech had to be removed....

The first time I posted this we got way into page 2 before I had this many hints up. At the end of page 2 the posters had pretty much nailed it!
Who knows what happened? Remember, RC is supposed to be fun.....

I didn't, just found a spot to do the "stay off my grass" old cranky guy thing. This was supposed to be fun for you....and me...The last bunch guessing at it got past that. Those are hints, not the answer.... What tech and what happened if anyone wants to take a guess, or make an opinion in Bills sake.
