Hey all,
Been pretty busy lately with the new house... I have been flying, but not much building lately. I had some spare parts around so I set out to scratch build the perfect little park flyer. I wanted something super easy to make, lightweight so I could go 2s, and use a small motor. This is what I came up with.
One of the many goofy nicknames I have for my little boy (Braden age 6) is Finus... Long story on how I came up with that one... Anyway, the plane is named the Tiny Finey with his crazy boy mug on it.
6mm Depron for the whole build.
3/16" Aircraft Ply Motor Mount
1/4" balsa Verticle Stab Support
Clear packing tape for leading edge of wing and bottom edge of fuse (To Keep the grass stains out of the depron).
EDIT:
I just finished making up some up some scale .pdf plans for this little plane. Took me quite bit of work, but I think they are complete. I am hoping to sell them for $4.00 a set if anyone is interested.
I made some screen shots of some of the plans. These are only a sample. All of the Depron parts are scaled in the plans and ready to be cut out.

I have built a lot of planes. For some reason, I really like this little one. It is so fun and will slow down really nicely.

It looks like a Kline-Fogleman airfoil (or KFm airfoil). I thought there was a rule of thumb that it be 1/3 the chord length? dunno, looks like yours works very well too. must be a big thumb that rule is on huh?

No powder bombs from this one...

Thanks. I think the Kline Fogleman airfoil was actually on the bottom of the wing, but you are likely right about the 1/3 of the Chord length. Seems to work ok on this one. It adds rigidity and also seems to increase lift dramatically.

You can put the KFm on top or the bottom or both to get that symmetrical airfoil effect from it. Real nice way to make it stronger without making it heavier!
