Hello
Thought I would introduce myself. Not really a first time flyer. I've owned a CX2 for about 5 years and a MSR for about 2. But probably have less than 10 hours flying time on both...
Here to learn more and hopefully start flying my helis a little more often.
My son got a junk coax heli from his aunt & uncle for his birthday and is having a blast so I want to try to stay ahead of him (at least for a little while) and graduate him up to the real helis soon.
We are in the Chapel Hill area after recently relocating from Oshkosh. I'm a 2000+ hour full scale fixed wing pilot so HELI + NOT FPV = hard adjustment for me. Probably should get a simulator and spend some time on it. I find myself walking around the heli to be "behind" it and can't seem to get my head to move the cyclic in a non-cockpit view way...
Regards,
Barry

Barry, welcome to the INSANITY! LOTS of great people on this forum that enjoy helping each other out...they have been a HUGH help to me as my adventure continues in this hobby! Im not a full scale pilot, but ive worked at airports, and ive been lucky enough to go up in lottsa different aircraft..... where i work presently we have 2 Hughes 500C model helis, and 2 Piper Aztecs we use for spraying mosquitos here in West Central Fla, and they all have dual controls,so when the pilots need an aldrenelin rush, they hand me the controls and i SCARE THE HELL out of em!! Some full size pilots have a bit of difficulty adjusting to flying something they dont sit in, but they always get the hang of of it after a little practice! Good luck and have FUN!
