Would never have believed you can by a working gyro for less than a tenner! How can anyone make a profit on that?
Checked the reviews and out of 68 it scored 4 out of 5 which is very good going.

this is the gyro I use :
ETECH Head Lock AVCS Digital Servo Gyro G105
It was supplied with my RTF 450 Heli and performed excellently. I then bought another to kit-out my spare 450. Again excellent.
I paid 4.95 + shipping from China ...... but I see they are now a lot higher priced ... but a Google may turn up good priced examples ...
What I like about it - it is very easy to program as it's got switches and pots on the Gyro ....
Here's an Ebay link ... showing manual as well ...

Thanks for all the advice.
What other heli forums do you recommend as this one has been great for aircraft and has (and will continue to) help but seems very quite regarding helis?
I tried Helifreak but dont get on with the way the actual website seems to work (still cant figure out how to post!)

I have 2 of the "ETECH Head Lock AVCS Digital Servo Gyro G105" in use and also a pair of :
http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/s...MEMS_Gyro.html
Which proved excellent and also are very small / light. Upgrade Firmware is available that also allows connection of programming module to fine-tune the Gyro ... friend of mine with 450 uses this GA-250 upgraded and with the board ... plugs in on the ground - sets what he wants, unplugs and flies ... that can't be bad for a budget gyro !! Believe me when I say - he is a stickler for good performance and his heli flying is very good with this.
