...and lets not forget those 'pop up' kid castles made of vinyl. I have a 30 yard dumpster in front of the house (remodeling)...and it has been a community dumpster as well in my neighborhood. Someone threw out 2 of those kid-castles and there I was....dumpster diving like a hobo at an all you can eat buffet! I got 6 feet of .288

Ok here's mine so far just need to make the flight controls and set her up
note the interlocking tabs on the fins helps with alignment and the carbon spars are covered with
self sticking drywall tape the stuff with the holes in it makes a neat look like honeycomb panels and take paint and clear well also adds stiffness to the wing

Great idea skiman, my top and bottom are a little off from each other. That sounds like it would help keep everything lined up. Just maidened my SQD, it was too windy to do much but I liked it. Already find myself wanting more power ugh ugh ugh! Maybe I can get lucky and the wind will die down this evening.
It looks great!! I wish mine would have come out better, it looks pretty rough, ecspecially compared to yours. I think I will try colored packing tape next. Good luck with the maiden.

NIce job Ed thats what this club is all about taking a design and making it better, faster, stronger, & helping each other out, yours looks very very nice, here is some links for some depron, paint, etc, I use Krylon Short Cuts paints, works great & does not peel off,use in thin coats, and Trim tape from Hobby people, it comes 5" x 36" in different colors, and here is a link to some cheap 6mm depron, I use 1/4" triangle balsa now to reinforce some areas, here is a pic of a delta that was sent to jay at GIT a HObby.com , I am now using a radial mount from Jay at GIT a Hobby, and 10mm CF tube for the motor mount, I asked Jay to list the 10mm CF on his site to go with the radial mounts, Take care, Chellie

use a pen, and draw a line in the middle where the rudder and skid go, look at it from a flat position, and you can see if its lined up, it aids in alignment, left some info on a post, look up with SKIMAN762 aka ED for paint, depron. mounts etc, I am using the radial moumts for thr towerpro motors, the 2408-21 and the 2409-12, I love these cheapy little motors, they always surprise me with what they can do, at $12.00 and $18.00 how can you go wrong Take care, Chellie
