Super Cub 480 Hot Rod kit, bolt on? Any interest?
I am checking interest for the HZ Super Cub bolt on Hot Rod Kit. For those who want a PNP hop up. It uses stock white plastic firewall & screws and simply bolts in place. The pic shows it mounted to the stock SC. Don't want new servos..no problem, delete those then. Don't want a 480, no problem mount is drilled for any motor mount you want. Mount in the picture is the prototype, Mount is being made from lightweight aluminum and is one piece. Email direct is [email protected]

Production run should be completed soon. The mount itself is the most important part as it screws to stock firewall cowl mount and gives you the correct thrust angle immediately. Mount can be purchased separately if you want to mount your own motor. The servo mounting plate will be made from lightweight aluminum, available with or without new servos, screw your standard servos in and glue it in place, done!

Will it look something like this? I'm interested because the GB is exactly the same as the one on the PZ P-51 and Spitfire.

Yes and No. Seems that that mount is limited to the mount specs for a Park motor, which is fine. I am trying to achieve a slightly more versatile mount, which maintains the Super Cub thrust angles exactly.

The motor, 1st pic, on the Super Cub has been test flown numerous times..it performs extremely well with the stock angle. If you wanted to change the angle it would be as simple as cutting the legs of the mount to adjust to what angle you want. Motor: 3530-10, 480 class 1000kv direct drive outrunner brushless motor capable of producing 42 oz of thrust from a 3-cell Lipo battery. Best performance with 10 and 11 inch props. No Pitch up that I have noticed or had any trouble with, just very nice controlled powerful flight. 1st pic Cub banked turn moving at a good clip not quite full throttle. Last pic is beautiful hand toss 3/4 throttle take off.

We are not going to be selling individual pieces...it is either our new alumimum mount separate, or the package. Options for deleting servos or battery and complete package price has not been firmed up yet. What I am trying to do is make a bolt on 480 PNP kit at a great price.
We all know a Park 480 is 65 bucks and a 40 amp ESC is 54.99, a 2250 lipo is in the 23-50 range (depending where you get it and plus the shipping) my new aluminum mount is $19.99, then you have to assemble it. Lots of people like to do the assembly, I am putting this kit together for those that maybe are not so good with doing all that. Seeing how this has not yet been marketed and I would love to hear your feedback...what do you think a "Great Deal" price would be for the whole kit would be? PM me if you don't want to post it.
