Wattflyer Scratchbuild Contest Number 2 Voting
#26

We still have a 2 way tie on most creative and a 3 way tie on best flying!
We need a few more voters!!!!

I thought everyone put a great effort into this contest. I voted in all of the categories and I didn't have the same plane in any other category! Great job by everyone and it was fun to judge. Thanks Jim.

I guess I misunderstood the voting then. I thought there was going to be a winner in each polled category. So there is only one overall winner? If so then the questions are kind of confusing as how can the overall winner be the most homely and the best looking all at the same time???

Don,
I could be interpreting it wrong, but this is what Jim says in post #1:
"Each person voting will get to vote once in each category, for a total of 5 votes. The votes may be spread over 5 different builds. The build with the most total votes will be the overall winner."
Bold added by me. It's the total votes that count. What do you guys think?
BTW, I thought yours was the most creative design. Very cool indeed.

Don, I guess it's like the guy in high school who thought his girl friend was hot, but thought Dolly Parton was a dog! To each his own. Now as to each category counting towards overall score, yeah "most homely" and "best looking" should cancel each other. Matter of fact "most homely" should result in negative points(!). But Jim designed it that way, so you can be ugly in one person's eyes and get points and look beautiful to another and combine those points. I find it mildly amusing.

I don't have any totals yet. I won't total them up until I close the threads on Monday night. I will post the winners in each individual category, just for grins, but the overall winner of the Mercury caddy and products will be the build with the most votes. If there is a tie, we will just have to work something out.

Looks like we have picked up a few more voters. The voting ends tonight at midnight so if you have not voted yet, there is still time to have your say in the outcome.
Thanks to all of you who have taken the time to review the build threads and vote. I know it takes a while to look them over, but it is well worth the time.
