in the video, the guy is using a 2 cell 7.4 volt lipo. look at the 14 second mark.

2 150mah batts in series. About 5minutes flying time

AR6400 with Micro Brushless ESC Test
From: RemE14MZ | Jul 24, 2009 | 13,789 views

Demo of AR6400 RX Module, shows typical servo centering jitter and first test of a directly connected TGY 3A Micro ESC driving a 4.6g 3700kv Brushless Outrunner. I put this in a Parkzone Sukhoi and documented the construction of the model in RC Groups, here; http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showpost.php?p=12771689&am... ... (more info)

(less info)

Current setup
Motor -
AP05 6g 3000Kv brushless direct drive from rotorfever.com
ESC - XP-3A v2.1 3A 1g from HobbyKing.com
Battery - Zippy 240ma 20C single cell from HobbyKing.com (14min flights) 6.19g
Battery - Hyperion 3G 240ma 25C from AlleRC.com (14min flights) 7.09g
Battery - Zippy 350ma 20C from HobbyKing.com (20min flights) 9.22g
Battery - Hyperion 3G 120ma 25C from AlleRC.com (6-8min Flight) 4.34g

NOTE - If you go brushless, don't forget to change modes on the Rx brick's motor port to "brushless mode". See instructions in the photos below.

Sharlach over on RC groups sells a full kit to convert the PZ UM models to two cell brushless. I used one of his kits to convert my PZ Sukhoi and I highly recommend it, just been out flying it today as a matter of fact.

Sure, You could buy all the bits a bit cheaper from Hobbyking (when they have stock) but Dan does all the hard work of modifying and lightening the ESC, soldering on the connectors etc. He also supplies detailed installation instructions.

How do you use two cells with those receivers?
I want to convert mine to brushless too.
