I'm a newbie to electric flying- flew a little bit of nitro fifteen years ago then got back into flying when I saw how easy and convienient electric is. I've just been flying out of local parts and schoolyards. However, after getting my Parkzone T-28 maybe irretreviably stuck in a big oak tree I'm interested in finding better places to fly- maybe even a club field.

Anyone here have any suggestions for flying clubs in the west Twin Cities metro area?

Actually I know about Tri-Valley in Rosemount and one in Jordan, but I am in St. Louis Park.

Big Willow park in Minnetonka offers wide open areas for model plane flight, Also there is a massive field behind the Hopkins High school where we used to fly.

Big Willow park off of Minnetonka blvd? From google maps I see a soccer field and some baseball fields. Is there other big grass fields there that I didn't see?

Yep off of MTKA BLVD, There was a huge grass area behind the ball fields and before the railroad tracks unless they have expanded the ball fields now. It's been awhile since I lived in the area.

Also what about Wirth Parkway in Golden Valley?? That used to have giant open mowed fields.
