Anybody flying the Wattage Tangent?
#1

I just got one of these as I am interested in learning Pattern flying. Some videos I have found make it look waaaaay too fast with a BL setup. Anybody flying theirs with the stock power? How well does it slow down for landings?

Hi,
Mine is still in it's box as I have other projects ahead of it. I found the videos on RC Groups. Sadly I cannot remember the the member's name that posted them. A search over there might be a good way to find them.

I recently acquired a Tangent kit, but it was missing some parts, including the wing, rudder and stabilizer. I did a build thread on the other gorum (same username). It came out really nicely and flies great. It will go fast but it also slows down really well. There is a crude wing plan in the other thread, but it includes the ribs. I have never seen the Tangent wing.
One thing that I did do was to be finatical about keeping it light. It came in at 12.5oz while the box says 15 to 20. That, more than anything is what allows it to fly slowly.

Hi Gregg,
I think I was following that thread on the other forum. I decided to sell the Tangent as I don't like the foam wings. Otherwise a nice looking bird. Thanks for the reply.
