We have powerlines and trees at one end of our field that requires you to stay about 30ft off the deck right at the threshold of the runway then dive down and try to land it slow enough to stop by the other end. Not too bad for smaller stuff but it can get tricky for bigger birds.
The other end, and the far side of the runway pretty much drops off at a 30 degree angle 100ft or so down hill.
This was just the best location I had to fly this airplane, all the grass fields this time of year are either under water, or so long nothing will fly from them. No big paved flying fields near me
We don't have any paved area to fly off of around here, and being a tourist town no empty streets. We are fortunate to have the field we do that sits atop the old landfill. If it were not for that it would be an hour drive or better to the next closet club to fly at.
