Default Has Anyone Used this motor EMGC 3732 KV480?

I just picked up a Nosen Citabria that was being flown with this EMGC 3732 KV480 motor on 6s. I looked on line and saw this thing puts out 2000w!
Has anyone used this motor and does it really put that much out?
If so makes me wonder why I put an eflite 110 in my H9 1/4 Cub.

2000w from a 215 gram motor sounds quite high. 1000 may be possible without burning it up, but then I have not tried that brand.

EMGC motors used to be available on Ebay, but they don't seem to be there any more.
I always liked the way the power leads came through the X mount, hidden from view.

All you can do is run it up and watch the temp of the motor, although remember that the outer shell may be just warm, while the inner windings may be very hot, I almost lost a motor because of that.

Check the data base on Drive Calc. It may be in there.
