Default Futaba FP-S28 Servos

These servos are left over from an old Futaba AM transmitter, model FP-T6FG/K. I'm thinking about getting a Futaba 6EXA transmitter. My question is can I use these servos with the new receiver? What are your thoughts on the 6EXA?Thank you

You can use them, but it won't be "plug n' play". You may still find a source of adapter cables to convert those old style plugs to the current standard ones . If you're good with soldering, then just splice in a new servo lead.

I wouldn't. By the time you make or cobble adapters together you have old slow and heavy servos. For about $10 each retail you can buy new full size servos or for that same $10 or less buy modern micro servos off the intartubes.

One area you really do not want to cheap out on is the radio set.

These were (are) pretty good servos in their day and still work well for sport type planes and trainers. If you have a source of connectors, just cut off the old style and solder in the new connectors and they will serve you well for most purposes. I continue to be amazed by how well the old Futaba servos hold up and continue to work quite well.

Can these servos (FP-S28) handle 6 volts? I can't find specifications on them.

Yes, Futaba FP-S28 & FP-S128 servo specification sheets are attached.
NB: The output shaft was the last with square pattern.
Current Futaba servo horns do not fit.

Thanks a lot I looked everywhere for the specs but couldn't find them. Do you also happen to have specs for the FP-S26?
