I like the idea. I was going to try and make one myself out of 8mm square CF tube from Hobby Lobby but now it looks like I won't have to.

I'm sure we are going to find that these are Fiberglass fuses as advertised, not Carbon. A Carbon Fiber fuse would raise the price of the Slow Stick significantly, and this does not appear to be the case. A fiberglass fuse is a great upgrade though. Its just to bad that the new wings are so flimsy .

I just put some strapping tape on the underside trailing and leading edge and its like a rock!

Use the new strapping tape that looks like fibeglass cloth and its stronger then the first wing!

just my view!

Did you wrap the tape around the leading and trailing edges?

Is there any weight difference with the fiberglass stick?

Also, I take it they changed the control horns and those are what's shown in the 4th pic? If so they don't look adjustable.

All I did was turn the wing over and put a strip of tape on the back edge of the wing from the center to where the Aileron starts I then made a x in teh middle of each wing with tape and eveything else is standard!

qban got banned in a thread that Robert started about how good the "new" SS is compared to the old ones, specifically about the split fuse and the "new" foam wings. Robert sells this stuff so he's a little defensive about critism of the "new" SS.
