Looks sweeeeeeet! If it flies as good as it looks, this is a winner.
Albatros is hidden while I paint the pilot.

Can I fly this bird using my Spektrum 2.4 transmitter?

Thanks... The Bum

Well, I'd like to report on my maiden of the micro Albatros this evening. This was my first micro and even though the wind was still a little playful, I gave it a go right out in the front yard between my house and my grandma's house. There's just enough room to have a little fun with a micro there.

I was able to take off from the driveway which has small "pea" gravel. It got off the ground in about 3 feet...and i flew around mostly at half throttle or sometimes even less. It had a very scale look to it that way. It was very enjoyable to fly and I only had to make slight adjustments to the rudder for straight flight. Sorry there's no video - maybe I can get the wife to try recording a flight next time with my little HD cam-corder. I had only one encounter with a very large crape-myrtle tree when a gust of wind dropped her down on it. Just a slight scar to the leading edge of the top wing was received that time... with a nose down to the ground afterwards that put a few "pock" marks on the prop cover, but it's not too noticable. I had painted my nose red when I was painting the pilot, I thought it might add a little strength to the foam and look a little better than white.

Overall, it's a very fun plane and I look forward to a lot more quick flights in the front yard. I've also ordered a few nose/prop replacements and wings for spares this evening from Tower just to be on the safe side.

A few dents and dings makes it look like it's been in battle. I prefer that myself! PS you should have painted the spinner another color besides RED! Marty

Default micro albatros

Just flew it in back of my house . All i can say is it flew perfectly, No trim needed at all. Five mph wind with some slight gust. It flyes faster than i expected, very easy to control. I have been in the hobby for over 60 years and i can say i enjoyed this plane more than any (50 or more)planes that i have flown. They have a real winner in the Micro Albatros.GET ONE . THE OLD GRUMP

I got my pilot painted and guns glued on. Wife was out, weather was beautiful.....

... and had to replace the car's heater core...
It took all weekend and the dashboard is still not back together. Hope to try it out next weekend.

Ok, a quick question from a newer than newbie. Says in the destructions not to use rechargeable batteries in the TX. Are we then resigned to throwaway AA batteries.
Haven"t flown mine yet....
