Sachs +1!!! Way too cool! The 125 Zuma would be a winner too if you can get one...

Just sold my Husqvarna. Never thought I would be without a bike but Texas has changed me!

Nice snow and mud shot on street tires. That was fun!

Finish it off with a shot from my younger days doing a stunt show.

airmail wf,
We did hotels, and one night (the last one) at the inlaws house in Huntington Beach.
That picture however, is actually at one of the camping beach parks just south of Vandenburg.

that is sweet. Did you buy it restored? I've been throwing the idea around in my head to get a used one and restore it myself.

Heres a Photo of my bike.
She's an all original 2000 Yamaha XJ 600N and was a 50th birthday present from my brother Neil! In the photo she looks black but is actually a dark aubergine colour with green metallic flecks.
The photo was taken by my dad outside their house in Brereton.
My young son Joel on the back - he loves the bike.
My wife Diane has been a pillion too but my daughter Holly (12) refuses point blank to get on the back!
I hadn't had a bike for over 10 years until my 50th, the last bike I'd owned was a 1974 H2 Kawasaki 2 stroke triple which I'd restored with a friend. It had Dymag 3 spokes, Marzochi shocks and a Dresda extended swinging arm - I wish I still had it now!

So what is the story of the person who owned it? They had to be really anal about their stuff.

Here's the build thread.

I just recently had a major problem with it, I was on the highway going to see some fireworks when I lost all compression and with that went the power as well. So, blown headgasket and broken compression ring. It's on the way back together now, should be a couple weeks and it'll be back on the road.

Nice ride Hank!
One piece leathers and knee sliders might be a bit OTT though!
This type of bike is becoming increasingly popular as a commuter in the UK.
Petrol here is 1.40 per litre, by my calulations thats around $8.65 per US gallon!
What are you guys paying? Diesel is around 1.45 a litre.
I quite fancy a Suzuki Bergman!

Off to Anglesey (Wales) for a couple of days camping this morning. It's our first outing so everything is new! Can't help but think that we're going to be the entertainment for the rest of the campsite when we start to pitch the tent!
There's a massive beach at Porthmadog which is on our way back. I'm hoping to fly my swifts there on Sunday afternoon. The wife hasn't spotted them in the car yet....

Hank,
Welcome to the brotherhood of the scoot. I have more fun on my scooter than I do commuting on a motorcycle by far.

I'm still riding my Zuminator!
