Default TP 9g servo & Futaba 146iP receiver current draw

My BEC is rated for 1A with 3 cell LiPo. Is this sufficient for 2 Tower Pro 9g servos and a Futaba 146iP receiver?

Nicholas

for future reference these two servos and receiver together draw a max 0.8A from the BEC on the ground. Havent been able to measure the inflight amperage as yet but definitely wont be using the BEC.

I have used and really like the Servo Sense from Dimension..... Takes the guess work out.

Those are hungry servos for sure - I mainly use Hitec HS-55's and e-Flite s60's and I can't get 4 of them to draw .8 amps - in flight.

thats what i measured mine with. Just moved the sticks around for a while. 8 flashes for max current; .8A. Guess that what you get with cheap servos. I didnt have a bench mark so i didnt know if .8A was good or bad. Mind you the average current is very low. dont remember exactly; think it was .2A. ill have to measure again.
