Used pinch method when I learnt fixed wing but learnt thumbs for the Heli.

This was not a concious decision but more to do with the fact that I am a video game player and spent quite a bit of time on the flight Sim without realising I was using the TX controls video gamer style ie: with thumbs.

Now I can use both!

Pinching the sticks seemed so awkward to me that I tried it on my Sim, and I was right, all my movements were way to "herky-jerky", and when I switched back to working the top of the sticks with the upper fingerprint side of my thumbs, I stopped crashing. I would probably do alright working the throttle stick by pinching it, definately not the aileron/elevator side.

I'm exactly opposite,I use the pinch for ail/elev,and thumb on throttle/rudder(mode2) when I'm not thinking. On a plane where I need to use rudder a lot,I go back to pinch on both sticks.

Guess us Rhody guys always late to the party. All this talk of pinchin and thumb rollin is givin me a real......well let me just say if someone designs these trannys with our favorite part of the female anatomy in mind, he'll become a very rich person. How many years and noone went there, you need to spend more time at home or out of the basement.
