Love it!! I'm lucky to have some Cop and Trooper Bub's, so I don't fall for the Hype I've seen, That does look like something I might like to wear though,, ( I was once a Professional Clown for Clown Capers of Tallahassee 30 years ago :-),

Well, 33+ years and I've done it. I've survived the streets of a major metropolitan area as an LEO and now officially retired.

Still a contract worker so the reality hasn't quite set in, but everyday is a Friday now.

From one former Dallas LEO to another LEO, congratulations on your safe retirement.

At least the wife and daughter are on Christmas break.......I can start tormenting them some now.

I think I'll go wake the daughter, she was kind of planning on sleeping in today.

Sounds like fun and something I would do to my kids.

My youngest was a PIA to wake up for school and make it to the bus. One Sun. morning I rattled him out of bed told him he was going to be late to catch the bus.
That kid was dressed and about ready to run out the door when the wife stopped him and asked why he was going to school on a Sun.. He still gets mad when we bring it up.

I was talking about the three small gliders in the tip photo. They don't look like DLG's since they don't have a pin in the wing to launch them.

The one thing I so enjoy about this thread is so many people on the forum have made disparaging comments about it over the years hoping it will slowly sink into the abyss and vanish, but it just keeps coming rising back up.

Just incredible.

Had a funny at work the other day.

Still a LEO, though technically retired, and training a new guy. Heading into the station at the end of shift and I see a guy walking down the street in a major metropolitan city carrying a quad well in excess of the minimum weight for FAA registration. We stop and talk to him. Knowing he has until Feb 19th to register and not much I can do about it I strike up a conversation asking if he plans on registering with the FAA. He flat out tells me he isn't. Said it was a stupid law and he wasn't going to follow it.

Rookie broke out laughing, because this guy flat out told the police he was going to break the law when it goes into effect. We both had a good chuckle heading into the station talking about how requiring the registration of anything really only applies to law abiding citizens.

The criminals and other ne'er do wells don't give a hoot about laws and will still continue to do what they please, and more than likely get away with it.

Just an FYI...........The word Change Game is quickly catching up to the number of posts in this thread..........and that thread truly is less interesting than some of the conversations that have taken place here. Kind of sad seeing such wonderful forums like this slowly fade away.

Yes I know, I'm as guilty as the next in forum activity. Sure miss the spontaneity of the past, and many of the characters that used to be online.
