I have been getting some wicked headaches in the evening. Not too sure the reason, but they last about 2 days. They start on the right side of my head behind my eyes and move to the left.
Needless to say, I have not gotten much done on the DW because of this. They are only bad in the evenings, which is when I work on the plane. I did do some small work during the day. I ran the throttle and aileron servo extensions through the plane. That was a pain, but it is done.
More later. Hopefully tomorrow I can get the motor nacelles mounted.

Thanks Chellie. I am not a fan of herbal remedies though. Something about ordering drugs off the web is odd to me. I have changed my allergy medicine, hopefully that will solve it, if not, I will get a referral to the optometrist to get my eyes checked out.

Sure hope you find the cause real soon.

My 2 lipos from EFuelHobbies.com showed up today. They are 4s4000 20C lipos. One for each motor. I am going to write a review for these lipos as well. These are Wanma cells also (same as the first lipos I reviewed), but they are much larger and will hold a much larger discharge rate.
These batteries use the same cells as the Zippy-H lipos from HC, but they are distrubuted in the US. Stay tuned for another lipo review from me

I installed the motor nacelles today. This kind of worries me. The fiberglass nacelles are held in place to the small balsa guides on the wing. You are supposed to epoxy them to it. Then use canopy glue to glue the back of the nacelle in place to the covering on the wing.
My nacelles have a gap between them and the supports. I decided to epoxy it in as stated. Then I went back and dripped epoxy into the holes and spaces to offer more strength. John Redman from Horizon says they will be fine and they will not rip off in flight, but I am skeptical.
Here are some pics. I have not secured the back with canopy glue yet.

I did a retract test as my compressor came in today. I am not happy yet. The nose gear and the left gear are working fine, however the right gear is getting hung in the up position. Not good! There is nothing blocking it, nothing is on the air line. What is boggling me, is they are air up spring down. I will take another look at it tomorrow. I am to mad to look at it now. I am hoping that the retract is ok and nothing is wrong with the spring inside.....

cool vid liquidity! gotta love the sound of 2 motors at once. That 1" clearance has me a bit worried....retracts are not the most dependable forms of LG. Are you using bigger props than the factory used?

Nope, this is the size they recommend. 1" is pretty scary. I hit the prop on the ground when I was taxi off camera. I am not worried about landing, I am more worried about takeoff. APC does make a 12x8 in a pusher size, so I might use that instead.
I sent a PM to Jonh Redman at Horizon about the LG problems. I will see what he has to say, then I will go to Hodges and see what they have to say, then I will send the retract to Robart and see what they have to say.

Retracts work now. I sprayed soem WD40 in a cup. Got a Qtip and soaked it in the WD40. I then used the Qtip to reach into all the metal to metal contact points. At first nothing. I then took the retract out, per icrashedthecubs recommendation to see if it would work when it was not in the model. The problem was the retract was binding against the retract frame ever so slightly. I bent the frame just a tad, inserted the retract, charged the system and it worked as it should.
Crisis averted, for now...
