Default HZ Champ (Modified)

Here is a short video taken with an 808 Keycam attached to my modified HZ Champ (new fuse, tail and motor from a ultra micro T-28)...showing that Fall is in the air...with fog over Big Bear Lake in the distance.

I got brave and flew the Champ over water (Big Bear Lake, CA). The Champ was modified with a complete rebuild, new fuse, tail assembly, motor upgrade to the UM T-28, and brick replacement with one for the T-28 (rudder now on left controller). I added a "platform" for the 808 Keycam (over the battery slot). With a little adjustment on my dx6i transmitter, this plane flys straight and true. Here is the video link...

Another video shot with an 808 Keycam aboard my modified HZ Champ (with UM T-28 motor). Weather was perfect for a flight at Meadow Park adjacent to Big Bear Lake. Great video!

Very nice! I've got an UM J-3 Cub with a Mustang/Sukoi motor that I've thought about putting a camera on, but I haven't been brave enough yet.

The sukol motor should be enough to get an 808 keycam off the ground. On my Champ I had to adjust my elevator for max throw....but it climbs with about 1/2 to 3/4 throttle. Be brave...give it a try...opens up whole new worlds!

At this point, there's hardly a plane I haven't strapped a camera to. I'll probably be forced to give it a try.
