Default GAMA Field

Gloucester Area Modelers Association Welcomes You.

If you are ever in Eastern VA, stop on by.

Here are some pics of our field. As you can see, lots of room for fun.

There ya go! You can count on us coming as long as it's a free weekend!

Now that it's starting to warm up we'll make it a point to some. Mason plays ball on Saturdays now so if he has an early game at Zook which is right off Cook Rd in Yorktown we can come up after the game.

Sundays are when the fellas normally fly, but I'm good on both Sat & Sun and holidays.

Thanks Kev! I like to think my photos make it look even nicer.

Hmmmm. I think I'll try and swing down a couple days later this summer. Nice field, Frank. Does GAMA allow Park Pilots?

That would be awesome Greg! To be honest, we don't know what a park pilot is. If you are an AMA member it's all good. Come down anytime! Just let me know when so I can make sure the grass real short. I'm in charge of cutting the grass so I can get away with it. My planes have a hard time on the longer grass so I like to keep it short.

Bill mentioned EOT above. He has a really nice field also with a paved runway none-the-less. I'm hoping EOT is a two-day'r this year.

Default Sportin' the Colors

Picked up a trainer plane from Craigslist the other day.

Finally found a place to show off my WF colors.

Thanks Bill. Not sure if I told you about this, but our club has two trainers now. One electric and one nitro. We'll use this one when the winds are too strong for the SuperCub.

Cool Frank. We have an old club trainer of some sort hanging in our shed but I doubt it has been run in many a moon.

I may have to take a look at it and see what it would take to get it flyable.
