Can a JR X9503 reverse thrust with an ESC that supports it?

Hey Grey Wolves, like me, out here 🙂
I know most of the new generation will make fun of me but I will still ask. 🙂
I have a JR X9503 in pristine condition that is really dear to my heart. I just got e-flite Carbon Z Cessna 150, which supports thrust reverse with its Spektrum™ Avian™ 60A Brushless Smart ESC
I have a Spektrum smart programming box and already got the TR activated in the ESC. But I can’t get my JR to use the negative portion of the throttle of the ESC. Even at -100%, the motor does not work… and only work on the normal direction when I increase the throttle in the positive direction.
can someone please let me know if it is possible to set up the JR transmitter in a way that can actually support the TR?
Thank you. 😊

Many of the old radios - particularly those that car people used - the throttle had a mechanical fitting that caused 'zero' to be at about 25% throttle .. that 25% below stick movement gave BRAKE function.
I am not up on the 9503 .. so you'd have to check manual / ? to see if that's possible ....
