Wish they'd make a micro CP heli, something the size of Walkera's but with actual quality.

Heli-Max has a CP version of their mini Novus FP.
The FP can be quite a handful in a house.
But it's pricey.

Good points - a handful of expensive parts in close proximity probably sounds more fun that it actually would be

the heli-max ones are just re-branded last years Walkeras. You can get a newer version cheaper buying the walkeras (which supposedly have come a long way from the POS i had)

I found the secret to getting a Walkera Dragonfly 4 to work was constant observation of the paddles.
These MUST be parallel with each other at all times, or the thing darts off in any old direction.
Sometimes it appears they can mis-align in flight, but that may be the hard landings.
I can fly the one I have now, built up from parts of 4 of them, inside with not that much trouble.
The Heli-Max Novus FP isn't quite as docile.
I bet the Eflite mini FP is just another relabeled Walkera, possibly with better quality parts.

I'll put money on it not being a re-branded walkera as you can see in the video that it uses the same 110mah battery as the MCX and I'm also willing to bet it uses the same integrated servo board that the MCX uses with different programming for the dual motors.

Of course the obvious advantage of this E-Flite bird over the Walkera will be DSM2 compatibility.

Here's a look at the mSR, currently slated for "Early September" availability.

BNF is $150, RTF is $180. Both will come with two batteries and Celectra 4 battery charger & wall wart. Celectra can also run on 4 D batteries for portable charging (would love to see this work with LiPo batteries like the Four-Play 1S charger does).

I've already read some complaining on the higher cost compared to other BNF offerings, but this includes a second battery (120mAH + higher C rating) $40 charger as well as $15 wall wart while deleting the $20 AA battery only charger. For me it's a good trade off. I personally cannot wait to own the mSR so I can connect it to my DX6i and lose my crappy motor-eating 4#3b.

Dave E. said on RCG these should ship to dealers on 8/27. Hopefully I'll get mine before my vacation is over.

Got mine today. whoo hoo! This thing is amazingly stable and it's OMG quick. I've bounced it off several walls and various solid objects now and not a single broken part. It's like the nerf of helicopters.

LHS has one. Looks good, but familiar.
mCX receiver and servos.
I like the fixed paddles on the flybar.
On the Novus FP, those things apparently can change angle in flight, and have to be looked at after every landing.
Almost bought it, but I have too many choppers right now.

Got mine yesterday at LHS. I've never flown a heli except on realflight simulator. I got it up and hovering on the 2nd battery! Just hovering right now..gotta chg my batteries. It is a handful after only flying planes, but a lot more managable then I thought it would be. Must be pretty stable if I can fly it so soon. Only gets about 10 min on the battery. Might have to invest in 2 more. Glad I never bought a co-ax though..no need.

Default Micro P51 and Blade Bind and Fly?

A LHS nearby says that the transmitter from the blade RTF package will bind to the new Micro P51... any chance?

They're both DSM2s, so it should work.
But check the literature first.
