Hello:

This is my first post and I just wanted to make sure that everything works and say "hello" to everyone here.

I am interested in scale aircraft and I am looking forward to corresponding with all of you. I have been building rc kits since the 1970's off and on and have also flown in Germany while stationed there with the USAF.

Ok, I'll do the "first post"

names Jeff - back into R/C after 30+ year absense (swore I'd never do this again....)

Electrics have me hooked - have a Combatwings XE2 (undergoing a heart transplant to brushless and LiPo since the NiMh melted), GF got me a ParkZone Typhoon for Christmas, a Yak profile 3D, Magpie with both wings, Turbo Vector and if UPS is kind, I'll have a Tiger Moth 400 waiting on the doorstep when I get home (all but the XE2 are still in the box).

Got back in with a Tipsy - did you know if you loop them hard the wings come off?

HI EVERYBODY!
pete from cheshire, England. Been into building f.f. scale for thirty five years now. Never have been interested in oilers.

around ten years ago I bought my first copy of E.F.I. and have been hooked ever scince. (To the extent of spending 18 months on a super detailed tiger moth only to be attacked by a tree on the second flight.)
Next, (FIRST?) step, join B.M.F.A. and get my "A" certificate.
Finding your articles very usefull and hoping you all had a great holiday, Pete.

Update - the hangar has grown (Tiger Moth on the doorstep)

AMA show should be good - picking up brushless motors for all but the Magpie

Jeff, swap your tiggie for mine? I'm sure I could find all the bits if I got permission to search the landfill site. Good luck, Pete

Bwahahahahaha - I don't know Peter, if my experience with the Tipsy (or my "borrowed" Tribute) is any indication, I might be right beside you at the landfill

Started my Hobby Lobby Yak last night (was free with the Real Flight G3 milady got me for Christmas). Only had time for one cigar's worth of construction - but got the wing done. Should be a screamer with the KMS 31/09 and a 3c Lipoly

I have been in RC for many years. I found this forum looking for information on the Blade CX. Looks very informative and like a great bunch of people.

Where you from? It's 61 degrees here in the land of Ahhs! I don't think the temp has been below about 40 since a week before Christmas when it was -5. The only thing constant about the weather here is the wind.

I wish it would snow so I can do touch and goes with my new Twin Star II (if it ever shows up).

Howdy n001pa
I'm from Indianapolis and have recently gotten into RC helicopters, having a good time learning about mini/micro flying indoors. I don't get along to well with the cold anymore, so I needed a fix for my R/C interests. I'm lucky enough to be able to practice at work inside a windless enviornment and large enough not to cause any damage yet! As I get better I will feel better with compeating for the airspace the furniture and plants now enjoy by themselves.

I've got an old GWS Dragonfly that I fly several time a day in my basement. I enjoy flying it but after more than a year I don't think my skills have improved. I still struggle keeping it in a solid hover. My brother says he is going to get a Blade CX. If he does I'll find out if it's me or the Dragonfly that's not talented.

Hello! My name is Ron and I'm a RCaholic!

I've been around some of the other boards for some time and have just found this one. Looking forward to sharing info here in the future. Thus far it looks like a real good site. I like what I see.
