I had a ARF for sale/trade and an individaul with the screen name "F862KEN" replied, we had made a deal re the model, hed traded some electric items and cash for the model, the parts came in a timely order, the cash has still not arrived and that was a few days ago, as far as I know and the last note I rcvd. the ARF had arrived and he was waiting to pick it up.......Ive since emailed this individual re the remaining cash to no avail. dont know if this person hangs around this site but ya might wanna be aware, if somehow the cash does arrived then an apoligee is in order, but still it would be nice to know whats goin on!

the best way to trade items is for both people to paypal each other for the amount of money the stuff is valued at, each person should pay up front at the same time. Then mail the items.

this way it's hard for people to rip you off.....

hope it works out.....

Paranoia,
I am not sure I follow you here. Let's assume that I make a deal with someone. For an example, let's say that I am sending an airplane to him and he is sending me a helicopter. It would be assumed that we both value each item to be about the same...let's say $100 each. So, if I paypal him $100 and he paypals me $100, then I send my airplane to him, couldn't he still fail to send the heli? Then he would have the heli, my airplane and my $100. I would only have his $100.

I don't see how this would protect either of us. Am I missing something?

Joe

Well!, with paypal you can open a dispute and paypal will get the money back 99.99% of the time, for a heli not shipped.

Note: The plane sale is just completed, so no dispute would be needed for that. (just make sure you keep your tracking numbers)

This way is not the problem person v you it's the problem person v paypal big company.

i've been using paypal for sometime now and i've only had 3 problem people and paypal got my money back each time

if i had used checks or money orders that money would just be gone......

This is exactly why a Trader Rating would be helpful. When I trade on rcg, I'm very careful of buying from someone with little feedback. Selling is totally different since I have the funds up front.

I don't recognize his ID. I just did a search on his ID. I didn't realize this has been unresolved since Septermber??

Exclamation You have to act within 45 days with paypal

Just to let you know, You must act within 45 days of payment with any problems when using Paypal. I have a problem with Flyer 1 here on WattFlyer. I was looking for a Jeti 45 brushed ECS and he answered my request. We settled on a price and I sent him my $40 for his ESC. It then became one excuse after another when the ESC never showed. I talked with him over and over again trying to fix this way to long. So now I cannot get Paypal to help and he just ignores all my PM's and emails now. So pay attention, being nice does not aways pay, when the time starts to run out act.
