Hopefully everyone didn't look at the title and think "oh no, not another guy looking to be told what to buy". But I guess that it kind of is.
I am starting to try out some 3D, and I believe that the lightweight profile planes are a good way to learn. Lighter, cheaper, easier to repair.
I have no clue what is what, but I would want either pnp or a bundle (don't have time to chase and wait for parts), would like it to take 1300mah batteries if possible (as I already have them), and be fairly easy to build.
Not looking for the cheapest one out there. I just want something that will handle a crash better, repair easily, and fly well.
Please share some experience with a newb

One of the main things i tell a beginner is:bigger is better.
Something with at least 5 feet wingspan will fly slower, giving you more time to react to the inevitable .Unfortunately,1300ma is not sufficient to fly that size plane.
You may be best looking at some sort of powered glider type.

1300 battery ?
Then there is a perfect candidate that battery is designed for :
Hobby King Hummer.
I am not a profile plane lover - but the Hummer flies so well I can live with profile.
A 2836 1100 Turnigy motor, APC 11 x 5.5E prop, 30A ESC and a 1300 lipo, 9gr servos - she'll do anything you ask.

Why thank you P ....
The Hummer has become my first out of car for flight at all sites now. I fly it in calm and near gale conditions. It just does not quit.

The Hummer looks like exqactly what I am hoping to find..
I wish there was a bundle package.
I have ordered a couple of things from Hobbyking and they seem to be slow as crap on delivery. I have also heard stories of orders taking forever to process. Makes me a little bit nervous.

International warehouse delivery will take a couple of weeks but local warehouse can be quick. I don't know about USA Warehouses ... but they must be quicker than International ?
The model is actually the RED EAGLE HUMMER .... Hobby King are only one of the sellers. You may be able to find it via a US seller if not through HK USA.
The motor is a standard 2836 1100kv motor that many others do ... I'm sure HeadsUPRC would have something. 9gr servos ... 30A ESC are standard items as well ..

It looks like Value Hobby sells Hummer's as well.

I've had good luck with them. They are in Illinois and the plane is listed a little cheaper as well.
Just another option.
