Hello Oz WattFlyers.

Local Canberra park flyer here, flying at Aranda oval 7:00am most Friday mornings. I own a Slow Stick, Easy Star and Rainbow. Soon to own a GWS Me109 and an E-Flite p-47D.

Cheers

woah !! nice to see you guys!...WF have been extremely good to give us this place to call home- we are first cab off the rank too!...personally i think it is needed because the open for all forums really dont cater for us down under- yet we still want to know what is going on around the globe...so now we can stay in touch locally and not miss out on the global scene at the same time!

good on ya cobbers...lol..

Ah, Gday mates,
Hello Tim, wheres ya bin?and your right we'll have to drive this from this side of the globe to get it rolling but its a great thing wattflyer has given us. As for son of Paleface, when you coming past for a coffee? the shop aint the same with out you keeping the seats warm.
Now, I'm a current member of the Strathalbyn club but also do a fair amount of park flying with all kinds of stuff from small electric parkflyers to silly over powered gliders and a fair amount of heli flying too, I also as a hobby retailer run once a month indoor flying in my hometown and then have a commitment to help out at another about a half hour from home so its a busy life but somebody has to do it.
Currently I'm building a Jr voyager e heli to put in to an awesomley airbrushed scale bell 222(I wish i could say I painted it but sad to say I did pay to get it done) and when I can find my camera cord I'll post a picture or two, I'm also flying pattern in sportsman after a 23 year break from competitive stuff and loving the challenge just wish I could get out and practice to really make the most of it.
I look forward to hearing what is other peoples interests around the great southern land and hope this forum flourishes.

I'll fly anything if you'll hand me your transmitter!&%$

Default G,day from WA

G,day from Ravensthorpe,WA. (600km East of Perth, 200km from the nearest club.)
I fly two aircraft presently. One is a bone stock powered Ego Cessna 182 which I use to keep my skills up to fly my YS 140 3HP powered CMPro FW190. I fly both at their (radically different) limits.
FYI, the Cessna with its lack of power and its poor surface centralising is harder to fly than the FW 190, but for $200 with radio its a good deal compared to the $2000 FW which also requires a huge landing area.
May this forum grow!

all my gear was on 72hz (for the US) but now i have the 2.4g system, i'll have to bring a plane next time i come home to Adelaide.

I've only been flying since i've been here Orange, CA. I've been here in the US for 9.4yr, i didn't have any plane money when i was back in ADL. and used to build static detailed models....
