Default This may just be the ticket ... discharger to power USB as well

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Smart-Bat...wAAOSwKtlWlNDy

This little item reckons 1 - 6S discharger to 3.8V and capable to power USB items etc.

I can see many uses for this if it works .... I've ordered one ...

Looks interesting but discharge power is quite modest. It uses a couple of 10W resistors so the absolute max it can do is 20W discharge power. On a 6S LiPo that's less than 1 amp. Is says it does up to 2A discharge but that must only be achievable on a 2S LiPo.

But fine if you are dealing with small batteries and/or have plenty of time.

Its more for the field charging of items in my mind. The discharge rate of course is pitiful I agree.

If you just want the USB charger functionality for your phone or camera then you could use one of the Hobbyking LiPo voltage checkers with built in USB: https://hobbyking.com/en_us/hobbykin...ker-2s-6s.html

Be warned though, I've had a couple of these and they cant cope with a 6S battery when using the USB charger. They must use a linear voltage regulator which burns out if the voltage stepdown is too high. It works fine on a 3S LiPo. The discharger device you found may get around this problem, or it may not, hard to say without doing a test and seeing if it fails or not.

It came about because I fly DJI as well as more usual RC crap !!

I have a discharger for DJI packs that charges phones etc. while doing its job. A number of people have asked me for links to it ... and this one kept coming up.
With it also catering for normal LiPo's and so dirt cheap ... I thought why not.

I'm sure there are better and worse units out there ... with linking to them and testing - we can separate the grain from the chaff ...

Cheers
