An Illustrated Glossary Of 3D Flight Terms
#1

Okay, So there seems to be a lack of 3D Flight illustrations to help people understand how a models flies a particular 3D maneuver.
So I have started this thread almost as a 'come to' illustrated glossary to help those understand a bit better.

So, here's a few to start off with.
Will try to upload more as often as I can

Nice work..
Hope you dont mind one little comment....The waterfall is not what i understand the manoeuvre to be. I thought the waterfall was a forward tumble type manoeuvre. You start by pushing hard down, like you have it in the diagram, but you keep the plane rotating in a forward tumbling type motion using throttle pulses to keep the plate flipping over..
Maybe I have it wrong?

Sam - take a look here for BoneDoc one of the 3D greats. It should clear up any confusion.

i did learn a lot now if somebody will explain what the terms mean like what f3p or f3a wingcord or rootcord cg mac are and how to find them and other things this might help a few people just starting out understand thing a lot clearer i know i would have liked to had something i could refer to back then and now.. also how to match power systems to props and kv/rpm for build help i would make a list but dont have the time or knowledge at this stage in the game and i must admitt it really sucks when your stumped by a term and feel stupid for having to ask
