FMS suddenly running slow
I have been running FMS 8.5 and SmartPropoPlus on my XP machine for well over a year, and it has always run fine.
After not using it for a month or so it is now running very slow and jerky - impossible to use. I have no more software loaded than normal and have not changed any settings. When I run it the CPU resources goes to 100%. I have restarted the machine, removed the software and restarted it, etc. to no avail. I am above average in my understanding of computers and operating systems, but am stumped. Everything is working fine.
Any ideas what is causing this to suddenly start doing this? Did a recent windows update change something?
