Arvada Associated Modelers

The Arvada Associated Modelers R/C Club is located in the Northwest area of the greater Denver metro area. Over 300 members, an AMA Gold Leader club with several AMA-Sanctioned meets and Fun Flys each year. The field has two flying areas, one with a paved runway. There is also an R/C car track and U-Control area.
Frequency control is linked via cable between the two flying sites and there is a covered pavilon, workbenches, porta-sans and fenced-off pilot area at each runway. One site has a solar-powered charging station for electrics.

Here's a typical day of flying at the West field (mostly Gliders and Electric) of the Arvada Associated Modelers field, Sunday, June 29, 2008. Hope you enjoy it! The temperature was in the low 90's and a slight breeze all day.

Hi Ron,
Sorry I missed it... again... Looks like fun! I hope you got a chance to fly the Mohawk a bit. I kept looking over towards your way wondering how all y'all were doing. The winds seemed a bit up and down. Anyway, I will get out there soon... Thanks for all the photos of the gang!

Hi Franny,
Yes, we had a rowdy bunch out there Sunday! A Stryker race (sort of), 2 cooked LiPos, several folks took the "Walk of Shame" and a few visitors.
Maybe next week? I'm going to keep bringing the Corben Super Ace until the winds die down.
See ya'

I found some old photos in an unlabeled file. These are from the 2nd Annual Rocky Mountain Electric Fun Fly, held at the Arvada Associated Airpark in 2006 (I believe).
Hope you enjoy' em!
