I've had an XPV for a while now. Pretty fun to fly. I've found that (for me) anyway its too light in the front. That is what makes it rock back and forth on the wings. I've added some weight in the batt compartment and it flys much more stable. I couldn't fly it very well without weight in the front. At first I couldn't find the XPV battery and charger so I ended up with a Thunder Power 480 mah and a Celectra charger. It flys well with either battery and extra weight up front. I am tempted to hollow out the front of the battery compartment some to get the weight more foward and possibly use less weight to balance it. But that soft foam nose takes a lot of hard hits and cushions the impact(s).. I've lawn darted it into the ground, into rocks, I've hit a light pole with and the side of my house with it. With NO DAMAGE to anything. Its really really a durable machine. Lots of fun to fly once its sorted out a bit..

hi im glad to see some else likes this little rocket ship. mine has hit all manner of things and surfaces and keeps bouncing back. i slid my battery as far foward as it would go and filled the back of the compartment with plasticine modeling clay. the weight does help. an added bonus is being able to drive around, take off. fly then land and repeat till the charge runs out. ive been getting about 20 to 25 minutes operating time. clear skies and good flying.

Is WMT keeping them in toys or up front at the vision center? Haven't seen them here in W Tennessee yet.

hi if i could only choose one i would get the launcher. the xpv seems faster due to the video of the launcher i saw. but until i get a one i cant really compare them. ive be waiting for the storm launcher since before it was advertised. i only bought the xpv because i couldnt find one. what a lucky suprise when i found out its really very fun. like i said before if you can, get them both. im going too. clear skies and good flying.

I just got done running another battery out of my XPV. Fun plane to fly. Make sure you add around 10 grams of weight as far forward as you can to get the balance correct. It flys way way better with weight up front. And it still climbs out smartly. Had might at least a couple hundred feet up earlier. Chopped the throttle and hit the right stick and did a couple rolls on the way down, then full power up again. Much fun!!!

hi are'nt they awsome. have you had any luck with rog off of grass? i've found the grass has to be very short like a golf course. they are fun in the air twisting and rolling.. best $100 i ever spent. now if i could only get a storm launcher. life would be good. clear skies and good flying.

Finally saw the XPV at WMT. Nice looking plane but it doesn't do water. Have to keep my eyes open for a storm launcher. Looking forward to your opinion Ken.
