Default Free Pulso Motors In The USA

Saw this in another forum.

http://www.pulsosystem.com/usa.html

Pulso looks like they have a wide range of motors. For the cost of shipping only, it certainly might be a good deal.

I thought some folks here on WF may be interested as well.

I have a few of their speed controllers and am happy with them. If the motors are of similar quality then a deal might be had.

Default Me, Too!

Hello Everyone,
I decided to try this offer, also. Just sent $17.00 USD via PayPal for a 2212/12 motor, apparently this is their high-Kv "400" sized motor. Plan to use it in a pylon racer. Will post here with results.

Yup I just sent them a email just wondering do you pick the motor or do they. Might be a dumb question but sometimes the free stuff is what they send you.

Same here Gramps. I'd like a 600 KV motor if possible.

Wow. I'd have to say that judging by the amount of data on their website alone I am impressed.

Email sent.

Jim,

Do they have a page that will provide equivalents? Like, if I want a 25-sized motor, which one would I look to ask for?

And did you ask for an ESC also, and get one free?

What I did, was find this page : http://www.pulsosystem.com/motor/catalog.html
which gave me specs on all the motors.

Then, with the page for each motor (example):
http://www.pulsosystem.com/motor/4130.html
has the specific example for model type and weight. It also gives you the suggested controller, and battery makeup.

From there, you make your choice.
I simply asked for the biggest motor that was in the offer.

Now, about that controller... Free? Yes. Same deal as the motor (pay a shipping fee), but it was less because they are shipping in the same box. Remember that no controllers are being offered free, only motors.

So you want ALL the secrets to getting free products aye? Tough, I ain't giving them ALL! But I will tell you how I did get a free controller...

Its like this, when someone makes an offer such as something free, but requires you to make a small effort such as 'send us an email asking', you simply have to go above and beyond what they are asking for, in an attempt to make your 'application' stand out, and give extra value to the company for the product.

In my 'application' (which is how I considered it) I gave all my qualifications (as they relate to RC), I listed several events that I will attend where I will demonstrate the product (demonstrate meaning simply fly the airplane and allow it to be viewed, and reply to any questions about the product), I promised a thorough review with photos and technical data and gave them rights to publish it as they see fit, I gave photos of the aircraft I intended on using the product on, I provided links to other published works and my professional website. I essentially gave them confidence that the 'free' product that they were sending me, would give them the most bang for the buck when stacked up against other applications. The application itself was an example of what they can expect from me when submitting information and opinions of the product. Professional looking, well written, FREE FROM SPELLING AND GRAMMATICAL ERRORS. I spent extra time 'polishing' the application, I didn't just bang out an email.

Just like in your professional life, when your potential boss, sponsor, mentor or whatever asks you for something, hand them that, and something else. Take the small step to give something extra, as that is what will be remembered.

Like Nitro, I also tried to offer some incentive for them. I told them I would show the motor and controller in my Spitfire build thread and post the results. This would give them more exposure to a large group of electric enthusiasts.

Come on now people - these motors aren't free. Hobby City has similar motors for about the same price as the overpriced "shipping fee". Depending how they ship, it should cost just 3 to 7 bucks for shipping, if they are shipping from the 48 states.

Granted, its a good deal, but what it really amounts to is you are paying for the motor and they are shipping for free. I just hate advertising something as free when it really isn't. Like seperate shipping and handling for your "free" second ShamWow.
