Looking at the maps, there's still quite a few fliers left aren't there.

I have 135 left on my list. Still hoping to finish up by summer's end of next year.

I did some number crunching and map reading and I believe if we can get to OH by the end of this summer, we should be able to finish up by the end of the summer 2012 back in VA.

That's a longe range forecast.

Winds look brutal in the Billings area. http://www.wunderground.com/cgi-bin/...st?query=59102 - Billings, MT

Hope Steve can get a break in the morning or evening time.

Rigth now is says 4 mph, but if it picks up it would be cool to have the first slope soaring flight of the Squirt.

Got some good news from Pilot #255, Steve G.

Hi Frank
Well after a very long time the Squirt got in the air in Billings Mt. Temps were good wind about 14 MPH out of the north. It fly's great. A little soft on the controls for the wind, but not bad at all. Plenty of power for that much wind.
I will be delivering the Squirt to Dale in Terry Mt on Saturday 3/5/11. I have Called him to let him know and he is ready.
Again am sorry between weather and work not to have gotten it moving any faster.
Thanks for letting us have the plane. Pictures will be loaded later. Great idea and God Bless.
Steve G

It's been some time but the SQuiRT is moving on to the next pilot. Hopefully the weather up in that neck of the woods will start getting better.

The SQuiRT is an amazing little plane. Normally one would not fly a plane this small and light in such high winds, but over and over people have reported flying it in winds in excess of 10 MPH.

Steve's Aero must be very proud of this little plane.

I just heard from Steve, pilot #265. The SQuiRT has moved on to Terry, MT.

Frank

Hi Frank,
Well my wife and I delivered the Squirt to Dale G in Terry Mt At 10:00 am March 5th 2011.
Dale and Kathy are really nice folks. They were having a club meeting at 2:00 pm. There were several pilots and their wives to see what was going on. They were all very impressed at the idea of sending the plane all over the county for years. I am so thankful I had the chance to participate in Wings Across America.

We will send in picture once I can get them down loaded.

Thanks for asking Tom. I haven't had much time to keep both threads updated, but she is moving along. For the latest, please check this out here.

My update
I ended the second set ofchemo treatments last week, will start round 3 next week. Then they will do a CT scan evaluation to determine if radiation along with chemo will be the new protocol.

In the meantime I'm home manning the WAA-08 Flight Award Certicate post, so you guys need to get the SQuiRT up and moving. I'm itching to produce your certificates again. Sure has been a lull, but now that spring is here it should be more active again.

I'll be signing up for NEFI this June, flying the Park Zone Stinson. She's looking forward to that event. Last year I went and had a blast, meeting Dave Matthewson and Bill Stevens. Neat guys at a great event.

Thanks for all your concerns & prayers,
Don

National Electric Fly In
Frank,
I just signed up to fly on June 10th, sure would be the ultimate thrill to fly the SQuiRT then, LOL. But I will have the Park Zone Stinson SR-10 and Hobby-Lobby's RCM Funster. Went last year and met Bill Stevens. Great guy.

Waiting to hear back from Pilot #271, Dean H to see if he has flown the SQuiRT. I am also looking for a pilot in the Alexandria, MN area. There is a 270 mile gap between Dean and the next pilot.

I just got an email this evening from a pilot at this club: http://alexandriar-cflyers.rchomepage.com/

This looks to be right in the middle of our two pilots so it will work out just great. Thanks to Jim and his club mates for stepping up and helping out in our adventure.

Frank

PS Waiting to hear from Dean. I understand there has been some real bad flooding in his area. Hope all is well.
